Spain is experiencing a significant reduction in raspberry production, with a potential decline of 21.5% in the current season, while blueberry acreage is expected to grow. The main reasons for the reduction in raspberry areas are attributed to the consequences of the storm "Bernard" and low prices in the previous seasons. Despite this, Spain remains the largest exporter of fresh raspberries and blackberries in the world, with revenues exceeding 500 million euros per year, taking advantage of its climate and the European Union market. The country exports around 70 thousand tons of fresh raspberries and blackberries annually and has maintained its leadership position in export earnings.
