In the first nine months of the year, Turkey's fruit exports surged to $1.16 billion, a 13.48% increase from the previous year, with peaches, cherries, and apples leading the exports. Notably, apple and grape exports saw significant growth, with Russia, Germany, and Iraq as the top importers, and a remarkable 200% increase in exports to Iraq. The Western Mediterranean region, including Antalya, Isparta, and Burdur, contributed 22% to the national fruit exports, particularly in cherries, apples, and pomegranates. This region is pivotal in Turkey's fruit production and export efforts, with ongoing initiatives to boost both regional and national exports.
