[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Jo Sung-je] Gyeongbuk Provincial Assemblyman Jeong Geun-su (Gumi 5, People Power Party) introduced the "Gyeongsangbuk-do Livestock Environmental Improvement and Support Ordinance" at the 359th 2nd regular session of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly to systematically reduce livestock environmental pollution within Gyeongbuk Province and to establish a sustainable livestock industry foundation. The ordinance passed through the relevant standing committee. The main contents of this ordinance include: formulating and implementing a Gyeongbuk livestock environmental improvement plan, reducing livestock malodor through plans and improving odor prevention facilities, expanding and modernizing livestock manure treatment facilities, improving the technical and administrative support system through on-site surveys, consulting, and education training, and consulting experts through the formation of a livestock environmental improvement committee.
