Regulation of tariff quotas in the import of some agricultural products of Venezuela

The allocation method and application procedures and principles of tariff quotas to be applied in the importation of some Venezuelan agricultural products have been arranged. The Communiqué of the Ministry of Commerce on the Implementation of Tariff Quota for Some Agricultural Products Originating in the Republic of Venezuela was published in the Official Gazette. With the communique, the distribution method, application and usage procedures and principles of the tariff quotas opened for some agricultural products such as Venezuelan cheeses, rice, oats, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and safflower seeds were determined. Accordingly, companies that request tariff quota allocation will have to apply to the Ministry within 1 month before the start of the tariff quota period for those to be made with the demand collection method (TTY).
