At the end of last year, the level of consumption of vegetables and melons in the region increased by 3.4% compared to 2023 levels. In the Udmurt Republic in 2024, the consumption of vegetables and melons amounted to 92 kg per person, which is 3.4% higher than the previous year. This is evidenced by the recently published data from Rosstat on the consumption of basic food products by the population of the Russian Federation. This figure is 7.1% lower than the average for the Volga Federal District (99 kg) and 13.2% lower than the national average (106 kg). Annual sugar consumption (including confectionery) in Udmurtia increased by 3.1% and amounted to 33 kg per person.
