Brazilian rice exports in May this year reached 103.3 thousand tons, valued at US$41.8 million, marking a 47.7% volume drop and a 38.6% revenue drop compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz). The main destinations for Brazilian processed rice were Senegal, Peru, and the US, while imports of rice increased by 11.4% in volume and 46.9% in value.
