Romania, Poland, and Hungary are among the top European importers of Moldovan table grapes

The export of table grapes from the Republic of Moldova to the European Union increased by 125% in the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period last year. The figures were presented by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba, EastFruit reports. The main EU countries where Moldovan grapes go are Romania, Poland, Hungary, Latvia and Croatia. Thus, if last year from January to August 5,875 tons of table grapes were exported to the EU, then in the same period of this year the volume of exported grapes reached 13,248 tons. According to MOLDPRES, this export is estimated at 337 million lei.
