Rotational or ultra-dense pasture? Understand the differences in cattle management

The management of cattle through intensive grazing systems is the main key to increasing stocking rates and profitability per hectare. The doubt of cattle farmer João José Ribeiro, from Gurupi, Tocantins, about the differences between rotational grazing (or rotary) and ultra-dense grazing touches on two distinct philosophies of intensification. To the "Giro do Boi Responde" panel, agricultural engineer Marcius Gracco, from Intensifique Consultoria, explains that although both seek to increase productivity, the way the area is used and the focus of management are different. According to him, rotational grazing is the main bet of the national cattle industry to intensify production.
