The cost of the shipments reached $47 million. In the first seven months of this year, Russia exported more than $47 million worth of ice cream, which is 37% higher than the same period last year. Supplies to Africa are growing, according to the federal center "Agroexport" citing expert estimates. In physical terms, exports in January–July increased by 9%, to more than 10,000 tons. The top five importers in terms of value were Kazakhstan, which accounted for 35%, Belarus (15%), Uzbekistan (13%), Mongolia (10%), and Abkhazia (7%). The growth in exports is driven by shipments to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, East Asia, and other countries of the near abroad. Western African countries, Senegal and Nigeria, are also increasing their purchases. Almost 180 tons of ice cream were shipped to them in seven months, worth almost $450,000 (+22%).
