Russia has seen a significant increase in the export of dairy products in the first quarter of this year, with a 19.5% rise compared to the same period in 2022. The Ministry of Agriculture credits this increase to higher domestic milk supplies, which have grown by nearly nine percent from the previous year. The country exported dairy products to 73 countries, with new markets including Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Syria. The exports primarily consisted of cheeses, cottage cheese, and fresh fermented milk products. The rise in milk production is attributed to increased productivity among livestock and the creation of modern production facilities.
