Russia Increases Barley Exports to Middle East Countries by 37%

Russia has seen a significant increase in barley exports to the Middle East, with a 37 percent rise from the 2023 level, reaching 3.8 million tons over the past year. The majority of these exports, representing 61 percent, were shipped to Saudi Arabia. Kuwait and several other Middle Eastern countries including Jordan, the UAE, and Turkey were the next largest recipients. The exact monetary figures for these imports were not provided by the Federal Center for the Development of Agricultural Exports (Agroexport). Overall, Russia exported 8.2 million tons of barley abroad last year.
