Russian fishermen aim to supply China with up to 5,000 tons of pollock caviar per year

Moscow. October 28. INTERFAX.RU - The potential for pollock caviar supplies from Russia to China is estimated at up to 5,000 tons per year, the Pollock Fishermen's Association (PFA) reports. Russian fishermen produce about 35,000 tons of pollock caviar annually and maintain world leadership in this segment, the PFA notes. The industry association plans to promote these products on the Chinese market, using the experience of promoting live crabs and Atlantic salmon to China, which has helped to create a stable demand for these products. The association will present pollock caviar at the largest seafood exhibition in Asia, China Fisheries & Seafood Expo, in late October-early November.
