Russian grain export shipments increased by 1% in October

In October, according to preliminary data, the Russian Federation shipped 7.14 million tons of grain for export, which is 1% more than in the same month last year, according to the monitoring of the Russian Grain Union. As Elena Tyurina, director of the analytical department of the union, told Interfax, monthly growth occurred for the first time this season (since July 2024). According to her, the main volume of shipments was wheat - almost 6.5 million tons against 5.8 million tons a year earlier (an increase of 10.8%). Barley exports decreased by 31.6%, to 430 thousand tons, corn - by 62.5%, to 217.7 thousand tons. In total, 25 million tons of the main types of grain have been shipped since the beginning of the season (July-October), including 21.8 million tons of wheat.
