From January to September 2024, Russian pork exports increased by 23% in volume and 27% in value compared to the same period in 2023, reaching approximately 200 thousand tons valued at $430 million. The exports are composed of 50% frozen pork, 23% fresh and chilled pork, and 27% offal. Belarus remains the top destination, with a 14% rise in imports to 65 thousand tons, particularly in fresh and chilled pork. Vietnam and China are also key markets, with China importing 30 thousand tons since opening its market in February 2024. Exports to Serbia, Hong Kong, and Mongolia have grown significantly, and new markets include Uzbekistan, Togo, Seychelles, and Brazil.
