Azilal, a province in Morocco, has produced 1.7 tonnes of Saffron in 2023, as reported by the Regional Directorate of Agriculture (DRA) of Béni Mellal-Khénifra. The crop, cultivated on 350 hectares of land, has become the province's new flagship crop. Since 2019, a partnership agreement has facilitated the distribution of saffron bulbs to approximately 3,000 farmers, aiming to boost saffron cultivation, improve farmers' income, and enhance their living standards.
