The Dominican Republic has initiated a sales campaign to offer 1.5 million locally produced chickens at an affordable price of 2.40 euros per unit, weighing over 1.6 kilograms, in an effort to make chicken meat available for the Christmas and New Year holidays. This campaign, a collaboration between the Dominican Poultry Association, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the National Institute for Price Stabilization, aims to ensure the availability of chicken meat across the country until January 6. The campaign is backed by an investment of over 6.86 million euros and builds on a 20% increase in poultry production last year, averaging 21 million chickens for this December.
