A meeting in Santa Rosa del Conlara, San Luis, marked a significant advancement in designing a plan to bolster market options and enhance public policies for family farming involved in goat rearing. The plan, part of the Basin Plan, aims to cover the entire goat value chain and will primarily benefit peasant and indigenous families who rely on goat farming for their main income. The initiative will guide producers in forming associations or cooperatives, with a focus on tariff exemptions and the importance of formalizing in national registries. However, producers highlighted the need overcoming limitations like water and electricity shortages. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Production of San Luis and attended by various agencies and goat producers.
