Saudi Arabia remains the leading producer and exporter of dates in 2023, with exports valued at over 1.463 billion riyals ($390 million). The country's date production exceeded 1.9 million tonnes due to increasing global demand. Saudi dates are distributed to 119 countries, marking a 152.5% rise in the value of date exports since 2016. This growth is attributed to efforts to simplify export procedures, effective global marketing, and high-quality production. The date industry is a key contributor to Saudi Arabia's non-oil revenues, aligning with the country's Vision 2030 goals.
