Major sausage suppliers in Russia, including Cherkizovo, Atyashevo (Talina Group), Novaya Stolitsa (Egoryevskaya brand), and the Velikiye Luki Meat Processing Plant, have announced plans to increase wholesale prices by February 2025. The proposed increases are 10% for Cherkizovo, Atyashevo, and Novaya Stolitsa, and 7% for the Velikiye Luki Meat Processing Plant. These decisions have so far been met with silence from the press services, the National Union of Meat Processors, and the Association of Meat Processors. The Federal Antimonopoly Service has stated that it will not monitor sausage prices as they are not considered essential food products, but will investigate any suspected unjustified price increases.
