The Vietnamese seafood industry has seen success in 2024 by reaching 10 billion USD in exports for the second time, with key products such as shrimp, tuna, and pangasius experiencing positive growth. Despite challenges like political conflicts, inflation, natural disasters, and epidemics, the industry has remained resilient and increased its use of science and technology. The industry aims to reach 11 billion USD in exports by 2025 by focusing on product quality, traceability, and value-added products, and by expanding into new markets such as Halal and Middle Eastern countries. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will continue to support the industry by removing administrative barriers and providing favorable conditions for export enterprises.
