With the aim of safeguarding swine health, the National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA) continues to strengthen epidemiological surveillance in Entre Ríos for mandatory reportable diseases, such as Classical Swine Fever (CSF) and Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS). In the department of Gualeguaychú, professionals from the Entre Ríos Regional Center conducted serological sampling in swine establishments as part of the permanent health program. These actions are based on a risk system that prioritizes areas near landfills, border areas, or establishments with low biosecurity, optimizing resources and increasing the effectiveness of surveillance. During 2025, SENASA collected 335 samples in 53 swine establishments in the province.
