Serbian raspberry producers are facing a potential significant decrease in purchase prices for their crop, with some buyers advertising to buy at half the price of last season. This has led some growers to consider reducing the cultivation area and increasing the minimum purchase price to maintain profitability. In 2022, Serbia exported 68,000 tons of raspberries, maintaining an average price of 5.5 euros per kilogram. The situation reminds us of the concerns among Polish gardeners about the declining market for apples, which could force them to uproot their orchards, as reported by the Union of Polish Horticulturalists.
