Silicon can protect RR corn from glyphosate

The University of Rio Verde (UniRV) has initiated a scientific initiation project aimed at studying the use of Silicon in reducing the damage caused by the herbicide glyphosate in RR corn plants, as explained by Dr. Renan Souza Silva, a Doctor in Plant Physiology. The objective is to understand how Silicon can mitigate the phytotoxic effects of the herbicide, contributing to better physiological performance of the plants and higher productivity. The study continues previous research on the subject, such as the Graduation Work of Emanuelle Stoco, a student from IF Goiano, who presented promising results in mitigating the effects of glyphosate in RR Flex cotton through the use of a mix of amino acids.
