Sinan County has been selected as the final target area in the '2026 Fisheries Resources Spawning and Habitat Creation Project' implemented by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The selected project will invest a total of 4 billion won, with 800 million won annually from 2026 to 2030, in the Amtae Chupo waters of Sinan County to create spawning and habitat for rockfish by dropping artificial reefs, releasing fishery seeds, and improving the environment, aiming to restore the reduced resource quantity and establish a sustainable fisheries resource supply system. Sinan County is creating its third fisheries resource spawning and habitat in the Diamond Sea area, following the creation of the juvenile gudgeon (5 billion won) and rockfish (4 billion won) spawning and habitat, which have been under construction since 2022.
