Russia's dairy exports have seen an 11% increase over the past ten months, reaching $248 million. The exports experienced significant growth in cheeses and cottage cheese, milk, and unsweetened cream. Kazakhstan is the largest buyer, accounting for 40% of the total supply, followed by Ukraine and Belarus. China and non-CIS countries in the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia, and Africa are emerging markets for Russian dairy products. The Ministry of Agriculture is implementing measures to boost the competitiveness of Russian agricultural producers, such as preferential loans, product certification compensation, and new support mechanisms for agricultural product processing facilities. From 2021, manufacturers of export-oriented agricultural products will also be reimbursed for a portion of lease payments for equipment purchases.
