Reports indicate that the country with the largest increase in Russian wine exports in the same period of 2024 is China.
According to data from the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, from January to October 2025, Russia supplied nearly 1,000 tons of wine to China, valued at over 1.4 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 462,000 U.S. dollars.
Data shows that, apart from China, the top three importers of Russian wine are Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center pointed out that in the first ten months of this year, the total volume of Russian wine exports exceeded 2,900 tons, with an export value of approximately 5 million U.S. dollars. According to information, the export value increased by 15% year-on-year, while the export volume increased by 1.2%. In 2025, Russia mainly exported sparkling wine, with an export value of nearly 3 million U.S. dollars, and still wine with an export value of 2 million U.S. dollars.
On November 6, Ilya Ilyushin, the director of the Russian Agricultural Products Export Development Center, stated that China is a major importer of a series of Russian agricultural products. Ilyushin pointed out that China is a major importer of Russian grains and legumes, oil products, dairy products, meat, confectionery, food and processed products, fish, and seafood.
