The Amur Region has seen a significant increase in its soybean exports to China in the first quarter of 2021, reaching 219 thousand tons, which is more than the total exports of the previous year. The region also exported 4.7 thousand tons of soybean oil and 8.6 thousand tons of soybean meal. The total supply of soy products to China has doubled compared to the same period last year, and the region plans to further increase its supply by the end of 2021. The Amur Region also aims to increase the production of non-genetically modified soybeans and processed products for export to Asia-Pacific countries. This increase in soybean exports is part of a bilateral plan to deepen cooperation between Russia and China, which was signed in June 2019.
