As of today, mandatory labeling will be required for vegetable oils and animal feed. A new stage of mandatory labeling in Russia starts on November 1 in two product groups: vegetable oils and animal feed. As explained by RIA "Novosti" at the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CDAT, operator of the "Honest Sign" labeling system), from this day, producers, suppliers, and sellers of oils will begin to transfer data on cash sales to the labeling system. This will allow for enhanced traceability, recording the movement of goods, and providing participants with accurate volume accounting. Mandatory labeling of vegetable oils started on October 1, 2024. Also, from November 1, requirements for the transfer of information to the labeling system in the "Animal Feed" category are being tightened—auto-verification of volumes between the Rosselkhoznadzor "Mercury" system and the "Honest Sign" becomes mandatory.
