Specifically, the national average price of corn was 2.50 yuan/kg in July, 2.50 yuan/kg in August, and 2.49 yuan/kg in September, showing an overall stable trend from July to September. In the third quarter of this year, the average price of corn in the three major producing provinces, Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning, was 2.30 yuan/kg, with average prices of 2.28 yuan/kg in July, 2.31 yuan/kg in August, and 2.32 yuan/kg in September. The price in the major consumption area, Guangdong Province, was 2.57 yuan/kg, with average prices of 2.59 yuan/kg in July, 2.59 yuan/kg in August, and 2.54 yuan/kg in September. Corn prices in both the major producing areas and the major consumption areas increased month-on-month but decreased year-on-year in the third quarter.
The average price of soybean meal in the third quarter was 3.29 yuan/kg, with the national average price of soybean meal being 3.29 yuan/kg in July, 3.30 yuan/kg in August, and 3.30 yuan/kg in September. From July to September, the price of soybean meal decreased by 6.5% compared to the second quarter of 2025 and by 4.9% compared to the same period last year.
