Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Brazil's soluble coffee segment experienced positive growth in the first four months of 2020. Exports to 87 countries increased by 7.3% to 1.329 million 60 kg bags, with the United States as the main importer. Domestic consumption also rose by 19% to 298 thousand 60 kg bags. Although foreign exchange revenue was only 0.5% higher than the previous year, the soluble coffee market in Brazil is expected to continue this positive trend throughout the year.
