The Western Cape Department of Agriculture has launched its Africa Agricultural Strategy, aimed at economic development, job creation, and food security. The strategy focuses on agricultural trade products, inputs, services, technology partnerships, information, skills development, and logistics. The department believes Africa is a crucial market, accounting for 41% of South Africa's agricultural exports in 2021. The Consul General of Angola and CEO of Agri-Western Cape have expressed support for the strategy, emphasizing the potential for strengthening bilateral links and promoting agricultural growth in Africa.
