The South Korean Major Feedmill Group (MFG) has purchased 68,000 tons of feed corn in a private deal, European traders cited by international news agencies reported. Freepoint was named the winner of the tender, with a price of $233.99 per ton C&F plus a $1.25 per ton unloading fee at a reserve port. For comparison - at the last feed corn purchase tender held in South Korea a week ago, 199,000 tons were contracted for $235.99 per ton C&F, while at the tender in Iran less than 2 weeks ago, 240,000 tons were purchased, though at unclear prices. The corn from the current tender procedure is expected to be delivered from South America or South Africa between July 20 and August 20, but if the origin is South Africa, only 55,000 tons will arrive.
