The analytical center "SovEcon" estimates Russia's wheat exports in October at 5.1 million tons against an average of 4.5 million tons for this month over the past five years and 4.8 million tons in September. Shipments may exceed average figures for the first time since November 2024, analysts note. Support for supplies came from the recovery of global demand for wheat and the growth in exporters' margins. In recent months, major importers of Russian wheat have increased their purchases and in October continued to actively buy wheat, according to SovEcon. In September, the volume of wheat supplies to Egypt reached 0.8 million tons—the highest since February. Wheat shipments to Turkey during the same period amounted to 0.7 million tons, which was the highest since November 2023, analysts compared.
