The National Union of Milk Producers in Russia predicts a 5% increase in consumption and a 2% growth in production of commercial milk by the end of 2024. The current production volume is expected to be 26.3 million tons, with consumption at 32.9 million tons and imports at 7.3 million tons. The export of dairy products is projected to rise to 1.1 million tons in 2024. However, the cost of production has increased by 9.2% for raw milk and 18.4% for finished dairy products, with prices for raw milk also increasing by 21.8%.
