The Spanish Wine Market Observatory's report on the first half of 2022 reveals significant growth in Spanish wine sales in Latin America, Asia, and Africa, with notable increases in both volume and value. Latin America saw a 27% rise in volume and a 36.4% increase in value, despite economic uncertainty and high inflation. Asia's wine market witnessed a decrease in Spanish wine exports by 13.7%, but the average price per liter rose by 13.4%, helping to mitigate the 2.2% drop in total value. In Africa, Spanish wine exports experienced a 3% increase in value, reaching nearly 43 million euros, despite a 3.9% decrease in volume. The average price per liter in Africa also rose by 7.3%. These figures reflect a stabilization and recovery of pre-pandemic sales levels in these markets.
