Spain increases its food trade surplus by 1.8% up to July, with 12,054.4 million

Spain has experienced an increase of 1.84% in its agri-food trade surplus during the first seven months of the year, reaching 12,054.4 million euros, compared to the same period in 2024, with a rise in exports (+5.9%) and imports (7.4%). The latest monthly foreign trade report published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business indicates that exports of food, beverages, and tobacco reached 45,553.1 million euros, while imports stood at 33,498.7 million. The category of fruits, vegetables, and legumes was the one that achieved the highest export value in the first seven months of the year, with 16,613.7 million (+8.9%). This is followed by the export of meat products, with 7,654.9 million (+6.5%), and the export of oils and fats, the only category that registered a decrease in foreign sales, standing at 4,542.4 million (-14.9%).
