The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests of Morocco, Ahmed El Bouari, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The agreements, one agricultural and the other fisheries, focus on innovation, water management, support for rural areas, and the fight against illegal fishing. The signing is part of the XIII High-Level Meeting between Spain and Morocco that took place this Thursday in Madrid. According to Planas, with these agreements, Spain and Morocco "consolidate their strategic relationship to achieve common objectives, face current challenges in the sector, and guarantee the sustainability of production."
