Spain: A truck full of stale shellfish bound for France intercepted

Catalan police officers have probably prevented a major food poisoning incident. The Mossos d’Esquadra – the police force in this Spanish region – intercepted a truck full of unrefrigerated shellfish that was heading straight for France, they announced on social media on Thursday, September 5. Attached to their message was a photo of the haul: dozens of nets filled with shellfish, stacked inside the vehicle. The discovery was made by chance on the AP-7 motorway, near Girona, about sixty kilometers from the French border.
