The Spanish water reserve has risen for the second consecutive week and now totals 29,886 cubic hectometers (hm3), which is 53.3% of the capacity of Spanish reservoirs. The stored resource has increased in recent days by 1,094 hm3, which is 2% of the total. The latest report provided by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco) describes the rainfall recorded in the Atlantic watershed as "abundant" and notes that it also "considerably" affected the Mediterranean. The highest rainfall occurred in Vigo, Galicia, with a total of 257.6 liters per square meter. The increase in reservoir water has been particularly noticeable in the basins of Galicia Costa (with an increase of 8.6% in the resource), Tinto, Odiel Piedras (where it increased by 7.8%), and Duero (by 3.8%).
