To guarantee the well-being of communities and environmental conservation, the Regional Government of Cusco, through the Regional Management of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, leads an ambitious policy of ecosystem restoration and recovery aimed at adaptation and mitigation in the face of climate change, with the installation of more than 30 million native plant seedlings by 2027. With an investment exceeding S/160 million in restoration, recovery, and conservation projects—part of a total of S/1021 million allocated to the environmental sector—actions are being executed that strengthen both the well-being of communities and the protection of the region's natural heritage. In this context, the "One Tree for One Peruvian" forest campaign will be launched, which contemplates the recovery of more than 30,000 hectares of degraded ecosystems with native species such as q’euña, q’olle, and chachacomo, equivalent to more than 30 million plant seedlings installed by 2027. ...
