(Agraria.pe) Specialty coffees account for around 20% of total Peruvian coffee exports, noted the Peruvian Commission for the Promotion of Exports and Tourism (PromPerú). "We have 13 coffee-growing zones in Peruvian territory and we will export a total of more than US$ 1,600 million of the bean, considering that, around 20%, are specialty coffees," said the executive president of PromPerú, Ricardo Limo. "Specialty coffees are of high quality, but have an average price above conventional coffees. That is why we are in this process of promoting our specialty coffees internationally," he added. Ricardo Limo highlighted that Peruvian specialty coffees are gaining market niches on different continents of the world. "They are already in some market niches in Europe and the United States.
