In 2025, Romania experienced superior spring weather with increased rainfall, except in a few regions, leading to improved crop conditions and a positive outlook for farmers planning to seed corn and sunseed. Despite some areas experiencing delayed crop development due to lower rainfall, the forecast of warmer temperatures and more rains in the coming weeks promises to further enhance crop germination. This is anticipated to result in a higher final planted area for corn and sunseed than initial projections, owing to the high domestic demand and low quality corn stocks in the country. This situation will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV, scheduled for April 24 in Kyiv.
