The Stavropol Territory in Russia has expanded its vegetable oil export supplies to several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, China, Qatar, Nepal, Lebanon, and Senegal, adding to its existing list of 17 countries. The region, known as the largest agricultural base for sunflower seed cultivation, has seen a significant increase in exports of fat and oil products by 1.5 times compared to the previous year, reaching over 30 thousand tons and valued at $27.1 million in the first half of 2021. The products are represented in more than 60 countries, with a strong presence in the countries of the former CIS, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and East Africa, and is also expanding its reach in Haiti, Maldives, Philippines, Ghana, and Mozambique.
