Spain's stone fruit production has seen a significant increase, reaching over 1.8 million tons, which is three percent higher than the previous year and nine percent higher than the average of the last five years. This includes a 41% increase in apricot production, a 31% increase in cherry production, and a two% increase in peach production. However, nectarine production has seen a five% drop, and plum production has seen an eight% drop compared to the average of the last five years. Spain has also seen a 13% increase in stone fruit exports up to July, with a value of over 963 million euros, which is nine% more than the previous campaign and 18% above the average for the 2019-2023 period. The pome fruit harvest forecast shows a one% decrease from the previous campaign and an eight% decrease below the average of the last five seasons, with apples forecasted to increase by five% and pears by twelve%.
