Vietnam's sugarcane meets GlobalGAP standards exported to the EU and Japan

Tan Lac district has more than 1,135 hectares of sugarcane under harvest, total output is estimated at 86,000 tons of sugarcane of all kinds, including 76,500 tons of purple sugarcane (1,000ha) and 9,720 tons of white sugarcane (135ha). Sugarcane is produced mainly in two communes: My Hoa and Phu Vinh. Other communes such as Suoi Hoa, Phong Phu and Man Duc town also grow sugarcane but the area is not large, because the arable land is not suitable for growing sugarcane. Mr. Dinh Long Duong, Director of Tung Duong Agricultural Service Cooperative (My Hoa commune, Tan Lac district) said that the whole commune grows 360 hectares of sugar cane of all kinds, including 320 hectares of purple sugar cane, the rest is white sugar cane.
