Suncheon City (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) announced that the full shipment of Suncheon cucumbers, a representative local agricultural product, began on the 9th. Suncheon cucumbers are cultivated in a climate with abundant sunlight and significant daily temperature variations, which gives them a crisp texture, high sugar content, and uniform appearance. This year, due to stable growth and good harvest, the expected production is over 8,600 tons. The city has been strengthening the production base by providing support such as multi-layer thermal curtains, ventilation systems, smart irrigation systems, and functional pesticides to cucumber-growing farms. After strict product management and selection processes, the shipped cucumbers are delivered to Garak Market in Seoul.
