The article highlights the decrease in sunflower prices in Ukraine, with a slight slowdown last week. The decline in export prices for sunflower oil is leading to a reduction in the purchase prices for raw materials. Currently, the prices for sunflower with delivery to the plant are between 25,000-26,000 UAH/t. However, a growth in export demand for Ukrainian sunflower is anticipated, following Turkey's decision to eliminate the duty on sunflower seed imports within a specific quota and lower duties on imports outside the quota from January 1 to April 30, 2025. Furthermore, Ukraine is set to replace its sunflower export licensing regime with a minimum price mechanism, although this will continue to be valid for exports to Bulgaria and 4 other EU countries.
