Agricultural exports from 14 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in April 2020 grew 8.5% compared to the same month last year, while shipments abroad of total merchandise fell 29.9%, reported from the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). In May, with data available for seven countries in the region, agricultural exports increased 11.1% while total merchandise fell 15.7%.
