A snapshot of the surplus starch potato market would significantly help – according to the agricultural environment from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province – the producers of this vegetable, who are in a difficult situation. Hence the appeal to the National Food Group (KGS). Recently, the Management of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Agricultural Chamber (KPIR) appealed to the KGS, which is de facto the state-owned food holding, to develop a method to collect the surplus starch potato from the market. “Farmers, producers of starch potatoes, who, according to the contracting agreement concluded with the Trzemeszno Potato Industry Enterprise, can sell such a quantity of potatoes as stipulated in the contract at the agreed price and 10 percent above the contract for 50 percent of the rate resulting from the agreement, are turning to the chamber’s management.
