A survey conducted on September 30, 2020, to estimate the area dedicated to winter vegetable production in the southeast of Santa Fe and northeast of Buenos Aires, covering 3.36% of the total area. The production included 57.3% wheat, 18.1% peas, 10% lentils, 3% barley, and 11.5% other species. However, the season faced challenges such as drought and cold events, leading to crop declines. The trend shows a preference for wheat and increased cultivation of lentils compared to 2018. The data also highlighted the growth of fallow plots under tillage and the various predecessors of summer crops.
